History of Audi
The Audi we know and appreciate today was first established in 1910, by German engineer August Horch. He established and grew the manufacturer into an internationally renowned brand, achieving three early successes at the Austrian Alpine Run.
Horch chose to leave Audi in 1920, but this wasn’t the end of the manufacturer, who continued to grow from strength to strength. When WW2 hit, Audi was contributing by producing armoured cars for troops. Despite this making them a bombing target for allied forces, Audi survived and made it out the other side.
In the decades to come Audi continued to produce high cars with a luxury twist, and established themselves as the high-end, high-performance manufacturer that we know and love today.
